The hero caught between his wife and girlfriend has been a very entertaining subject in our Bollywood. This is the reason why films like 'Pati Patni Aur Woh' (1978), 'Saajan Chale Sasural', 'Judai', 'Sandwich', and 'Govinda Naam Mera' have always been made. Writer-director Mudassar Aziz takes this series forward. Anyway, Mudassar Aziz has been the director who brought 'Pati Patni Aur Woh' on the same lines in 2019 with Kartik Aryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Pandey. Once again he has brought the story of a husband who is stuck between his ex-wife and would-be wife.
Story of 'Mere Husband Ki Biwi'
The story is of Ankur (Arjun Kapoor), who is divorced from his wife Prabhleen Kaur (Bhumi Pednekar). Despite this, he has a hangover from his ex-wife. He gets horrifying dreams of his wife every now and then, in which his wife keeps torturing him. This is the reason why he cannot even think of falling in love or getting married again. His friend Rehaan (Harsh Gujral) constantly encourages him to fall in love with another girl, but Ankur does not have the courage to do so due to the bad thoughts about his ex-wife Prabhleen. Then one day Ankur meets his college crush Antara Khanna (Rakul Preet) and his heart strings are touched.
Friend Rehaan also encourages Ankur to take this love forward. Ankur had just finished proposing to his new love Antara Khanna when Prabhleen appears in his life once again like a storm. Due to the accident, Prabhleen has become a victim of a disease called retrograde amnesia. Due to this disease, she has lost her memory of five years. She remembers the beautiful phase of her and Ankur's love, but she has forgotten that due to a huge rift, they both have got divorced.
